The Matchmaker 5K Run / Walk

Together, we walked, we ran. And in the final hour, we enjoyed the Capoeira performance as our kids played while enjoying the animal balloons and face-painting.

We were fortunate to be joined by marrow recipients – Survivors, who have received a 2nd chance at life because of an unrelated donor. This is why we exist. Runners, walkers, friends and loved ones, we thank you for joining us in support of children and adults with leukemia and other diseases treatable by marrow transplants. Together we raised nearly $50,000 to continue supporting the families we serve. Thank You!

The Icla da Silva Foundation’s 4th Annual Matchmaker 5K Run/Walk is a fun-filled family-friendly event for people of all ages and abilities. The event took place on the Firefighters Field, 455 Main Street, Roosevelt Island, NY on Saturday, May 17th, 2014.
