Running Saves Lives
On March 15, 2015, Andrew MacDowell embarked on a 13-mile journey as part of the 2015 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon in support of The Icla da Silva Foundation.
“I beat my time from five years ago. I think this was the result of the deepened purpose I felt in my heart during this run, provided by: 1) My three-year-old son standing next to his mom and grandparents along the race route; 2) The support my wider group of friends and family showed me through their generous donations to the Icla da Silva Foundation,” says Andrew.
With the support of his friends and family, Andrew raised more than $1,700 for the Foundation! Financial contributions help us add more life-saving donors to the registry at no cost to them – bringing patients like Ava and Aksel closer to a cure.
Thank you, Andrew!
