For patients suffering from a blood cancer like leukemia, lymphoma or sickle cell, being ethnically diverse can challenge their survival. Unfortunately, minorities are currently underrepresented on the registry, making it more difficult for those patients to find their matching donor.

Jeffersen gave someone’s life back. He insists “you can’t explain it…it’s a marvelous feeling.” He says he would do it again, 10,000 times. We are grateful he did it once.

Mikey met with his CML specialist and he is doing great! His TKI medication is working and his chronic myeloid leukemia levels are very low. He starts school next month and his family is very happy. So are we!

Olga is battling cancer for the second time. In March, she was diagnosed with AML, a cancer of the blood and bone marrow and usually gets worse quickly if not treated. Her best chance of survival is a matching bone marrow transplant.
